“Shamelessly?”
The first game was based in Baldur’s Gate, and the second was a direct sequel. “Shamelessly” implies there is some reason for there to be shame.
In my opinion they placed it in Baldurs Gate and slapped the name Baldurs Gate on the cover to grab the attention of the Baldurs Gate CRPG fans. Hey it worked, I played it. I call it a shameless name drop. I was disappointed that it wasnt related to the CRPG. It would be hard to convince me otherwise but I've been wrong 99% of time so. If you feel differently I can respect that.
