I'm playing a giff paladin in a Spelljammer campaign, and just acquired second-level spells.

A sturdy giff weighs, what, something like 900 pounds? So what kind of mount does his "Find Steed" summon?

By RAW, the Giant Hamster stat block from Spelljammer should hold a Giff just fine. Might stretch the imagination a bit, but...

The last time I played a PC with a giant space hamster mount (“Mithril”) was when the original Spelljammer came out. And his rider (“The Gnome Ranger”) was small enough that I didn’t really care about the GSH’s carrying capacity.

Well…not beyond his ability to carry an unconscious human off the battlefield in his cheek pouches, anyway.
