RHC Authority at the Danoran Consulate?

Shimrath

Hey All,

Going to be getting started on Dying Skyseer this Saturday, and was curious about something. Just how much authority, if any, do the constables have at the Danoran Consulate? If their investigation starts to take an unwanted turn, or if the are too heavy-handed in their investigation techniques, i assume the Danorans have the ability to simply show them the door?

Thanks in advance,
Shimrath.

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
The short answer is that the party have no authority in the consulate. Their investigation requires the co-operation of the Danorans.

If the campaign world follows real-world analogues - which I believe it does - then the consulate counts as Danoran territory and the RHC are allowed to enter only at the invitation of the Danorans. They could withdraw this permission at any point. If the group behave badly, it could spark a diplomatic incident.
