On the other hand if I asked my 85 year old dad, he'd probably recognize Deja Thoris but doubtful Peach...My 6 year old great niece just told me on the weekend that Peach is her favourite Mario character.

The only thing you're possibly missing out on is Jeremy Irons chewing all the scenery and a largely forgettable Tom Baker cameo. It's largely forgettable. I remember liking the second movie more though.I'm gonna be honest, I've never seen it.
