Still hard for me to believe. When I saw the news I was floored. Engineer, producer, advocate, and guy who lived by his words. I was lucky enough to see Shellac twice in a bar once in Jersey once in Philly. I'm a tad younger but it reminded me of the flow of time and our mortality.

Ron Ellis, former NHL player and member of the Canadian team for the 1972 Canada/Russia hockey series, has dies at the age of 79. I can't remember if he was present for the naming of "Team Canada Drive" in what used to be known as Bramalea, when I was a kid, but I was there in my Cub Scout uniform for that. So many years ago.

Roger Corman has died at age 98.

For a guy best known for schlock, a lot of big names in Hollywood worked for Corman before they made it big. He really taught them a lot about how to manage a film as far as keeping it under budget and on time.
