I’ve been debating this as I have a couple and I’m still on the fence for the Strahd Legendary B&G every time I see it listed on eBay…been able to resist so far :)

For $500 I would want the hand of Vecna, not a hand tatoo.

Seriously, a premium set without even an eye of vecna figure?

I agree that $500 is nuts for a bunch of bling like this, but that's what people want these days. While I'd never spend serious money on unnecessary extras like this, I accept I'm probably in the minority.
Nah, you are almost certainly comfortably in the majority. Most fans can't afford it, can't justify the cost, or would rather spend that amount of discretionary income on something else. This isn't a dig at those who do buy this. There are those who might turn their nose up at a set like this but spend lots more on miniatures, dwarven forge terrain, software, commissioning art, fancy game tables, rare-earth material dice, etc. Most fans are not spending thousands on D&D. But there there are enough niches in the hobby, with enough people with enough disposable income, for enterprising creators to make money catering to them. That's a good thing, even if not all the things are attractive or affordable for most fans.

at least its game contents I can use, instead of WotC/Hasbro using the brand to sell me eye make-up or other useless crap, like a pubic hair trimmer.
Emphasis mine. Is that really a thing that exists?

If so please tell me it comes in D&D monster shapes, rather than just having a logo on it.

Hah...buy the Platinum edition just so I can get the temporary tattoo and put it on. That's a $500 temporary tattoo!!

Then again, if you never use it...why even have it?

Liability.

If they included a hand or eye of Vecna too many people out there would invariably start trying to hack their hand or pluck their eye out and replace it with those things.

I mean...haven't you heard about the Head of Vecna and what the PC's did just to try it out without even validating it was authentic!!!
