Disclaimer: This thread is not intended nor designed to be derogitory or insulting. Please do not make assumptions that its about exploitation or any other negative attitude. The thread -may- very well attract hoots and hollars, however, in the previous thread of this nature, it was largely in good taste, and roughly equal to both sides. Case in point: The asexual illithids in speedos were drooled over more than any buxom half-elf.
End Disclaimer. Huff.
Now then, to the thread, heh.
There are a number of common occurances these days that have provided amusement, and occassionally creepy thoughts, for many people. Swimsuit issues. Ignoring Sports Illustrated (Which is blatant super-soft porn), many comic companies have produced 'Swimsuit Issues' of their various characters female AND -male-, and in the most respectable cases, in equal numbers. Considering the ever-presence of scantly clad heroes, be it the chainmail bikini, or the furry loin cloth, and the numerous monsters, some humanoid, some not, that we all know and love... I propose that some company or group, be it WotC, the Dragon Magazine publishers, or just some random group of artists produce some paper back of some sort called "D&D: Swimsuit Edition". The Player's Handbook, The Dungeon Master's Guide, the Monster Manual, and many many suppliments have much to add to this. From the classical archtype characters (Think: Krusk in surfer gear), the PrCs (Does the Black Guard swim with that stupid helmet?), and of course, the monsters (Illithids in Speedos: There's nothing finer), all have gobs of snicker-worthy material that can be used to bring a few laughs, and a few bucks, to many a person.
Whether or not anything is actually printed, there's plenty of jokes to be made on this, as can be seen in the 200+ posts on the thread begun of this a while back (Includes a dozen or so pieces of humorous art from various sources, of course, starring the beach-bound illithids), which can be found >HERE <.
And, I'll note, I'm sorry if this sounds a bit flat for a humor-related post, but it took a great deal of effort to get people to realize this has squat to do with sexism, and everything to do with jolly good fun.
Life's a beach, dice it up.
