Is this diagram in WotC's Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen a flowchart? Jess (in this excerpt from Morrus' Unofficial Tabletop RPG Talk) has strong feelings about it.

No rule is inviolate
I'll argue that technically it is a flowchart because it helps you understand what must be done in order to get to the next phase of a process. Below is a "high level" flowchart. There's no "if then" because it's unnecessary.

Speaking of unnecessary, a flowchart for a sequential D&D adventure. It's not complex. It might be useful if there were "if then" scenarios, but that would really be suited for a sidebar.
