D&D 3E/3.5 3E: Assassins and Combat Reflexes question

Heartless

First Post
I'm drawing up a 3E assassin which will begin a new campaign at level 6. The character has advanced 5 levels as a rogue and 1 level as an assassin.

I'm considering taking the "Combat Reflexes" feat at level 6 but I'm not sure if the feat will benefit my character. Because there is a special note at the end of the feat discription that I can't quite understand:

Special: A rogue with the Combat Reflexes feat still can make only one attack of opportunity in a round if he uses his opportunistic ability to make that attack.

Can someone interpret this special rule?

I can provide the character's stats if needed. Thanks in advance. :)
