I'm having a busy week, so I haven't had the time to do the write-ups for the last remaining parts of the game. I should have them up over the weekend at the latest, and then I'll do a recap and discussion before embarking on Curse of the Azure Bonds.

Since they are using it as a bare-bones sample, "boring" is precisely what they are going for here.

Again, this will be totally bare-bones. There's going to be very little outside of basic information, and very little flavor of any sort will show up.

They could probably just cut and paste the two paragraphs from Saltmarsh on the Scarlet Brotherhood without too much issue if they wished.

For someone who loves maps, Anna's Greyhawk map is just something I could (and have!) stare at for hours. I wish she would do a Realms map in the same style and detail.

I think both. Top-down with the main setting overview, bottom-up with the Greyhawk City overview. That way, they cover their world-building bases.

I think you're overestimating what's going to be in the chapter. It probably just going to be bare-bones info. There's probably going to be very little "tone" involved. EDIT: actually, from further responses, it looks like a lot of posters are overestimating what we're going to see in this chapter.

It will be very interesting to see how the Pomarj is depicted.

Hopefully they are looking at X-Men '97 to see how to bring back a legacy animated series the right way. Granted, the success in reviving the X-Men series is probably going to be difficult for anyone to even come close to replicating...

That's why I specifically said "setting guide". Setting guides tend to be a lot more expansive than "a small town and its environs".
