    Spoilers X-Men '97 spoilers

As for that last section, it does seem pretty obvious that some, most, or even all of the "Available" characters will join up with Bishop and Forge to become the current iteration of the X-Men while the rest are time-displaced. Emma Frost is almost certain here, as they wouldn't have made it a...

D&D General Demetrios1453 Plays the Gold Box Games

I'm having a busy week, so I haven't had the time to do the write-ups for the last remaining parts of the game. I should have them up over the weekend at the latest, and then I'll do a recap and discussion before embarking on Curse of the Azure Bonds.

D&D (2024) Greyhawk Confirmed. Tell Me Why.

I liked the Living Greyhawk Gazateer, other than the particularly hideous art. I'm not one to be snobby about art, but the black-and-white literal scribbles they had for illustrations were definitely not up to par. But beyond that, the book was very informative and filled with useful facts and...

    D&D (2024) More D&D 2024 Tidbits: Aasimar, Goliaths, Town-Eating Gelatinous Cubes

I hope that they give some clarification on what CR actually is, mechanics-wise. It needs a better and more precise definition than "should drain the party of resources"

D&D (2024) How Does Greyhawk Fit In To The New Edition?

Since they are using it as a bare-bones sample, "boring" is precisely what they are going for here.

D&D (2024) Greyhawk Confirmed. Tell Me Why.

Again, this will be totally bare-bones. There's going to be very little outside of basic information, and very little flavor of any sort will show up.

D&D (2024) Greyhawk Confirmed. Tell Me Why.

They could probably just cut and paste the two paragraphs from Saltmarsh on the Scarlet Brotherhood without too much issue if they wished.

    D&D (2024) New D&D Edition's Player’s Handbook Cover Reveal

I was literally about to say that that's probably mostly DiTerlizzi's fault lol...

D&D (2024) Greyhawk Confirmed. Tell Me Why.

For someone who loves maps, Anna's Greyhawk map is just something I could (and have!) stare at for hours. I wish she would do a Realms map in the same style and detail.

D&D (2024) Greyhawk Confirmed. Tell Me Why.

I think both. Top-down with the main setting overview, bottom-up with the Greyhawk City overview. That way, they cover their world-building bases.

D&D (2024) Greyhawk Confirmed. Tell Me Why.

I think you're overestimating what's going to be in the chapter. It probably just going to be bare-bones info. There's probably going to be very little "tone" involved. EDIT: actually, from further responses, it looks like a lot of posters are overestimating what we're going to see in this chapter.

D&D (2024) Greyhawk Confirmed. Tell Me Why.

It will be very interesting to see how the Pomarj is depicted.

D&D (2024) Greyhawk Confirmed. Tell Me Why.

For those of us who just didn't ignore them outright anyway. Weirdly, though, we still played with demihuman class limitations.

D&D (2024) The D&D Cartoon Heroes In The 2024 PHB

Hopefully they are looking at X-Men '97 to see how to bring back a legacy animated series the right way. Granted, the success in reviving the X-Men series is probably going to be difficult for anyone to even come close to replicating...

D&D (2024) How Does Greyhawk Fit In To The New Edition?

That's why I specifically said "setting guide". Setting guides tend to be a lot more expansive than "a small town and its environs".

D&D (2024) How Does Greyhawk Fit In To The New Edition?

So what year exactly do we think they'll set it? Im guessing the consensus around here will be at the time of the original Folio, but could they have it at the time of From the Ashes, or even the Living Greyhawk Gazateer? Do they dare advance the timeline beyond that?

WotC Vecna Eve of Ruin: Everything You Need To Know

About to come here and say the same thing lol. I do have to say that in my opinion that the Eberron chapter is the best in reflecting the flavor of its setting.

D&D (2024) Aasimar, Crafting Rules, and more in Gameinformer Magazine feature

It's rather annoying, but conversely also not surprising, that they avoided that potential minefield in the Planescape set, where we got updates for all the other major missing paragons (archons, guardianals, and rilmani), and just leaving that gaping hole for the archetypal CG planar race...

D&D (2024) How Does Greyhawk Fit In To The New Edition?

I mean, I'm trying to come up with a reason why they wouldn't, and can't think of one. Every single precedent so far in this edition points to that when a setting gets an actual setting guide in print, that setting is released for use on the DMs Guild. It's no secret that fans have been...
