Gatekeepers is an innovative roleplaying game of fantasy intrigue and tactics in a magic-rich environment.
We use cards and tokens instead of traditional character sheets and pencils to keep track of character progression, resources, curses and injuries.
It's suitable for younger audiences, because the math is simple and rules are unobtrusive. It's fun for hardcore gamers, because it has crazy tactical depth. You build your own character, one card at a time, with no class restrictions.
There are 17 playable races, some familiar, others unusual. The most popular so far is the Goopy Blob, followed by Giant Mantis and Dragon.
What's the big deal about the cards? It's for the sake of the game master, actually. Whenever your players walk off the beaten path and surprise you, you can draft an appropriate encounter for them in seconds. It eliminates tedium out of your preparation for a game session.

The game is open source. You can download card templates (as PSD files) that you can open and edit with Photoshop or similar software and make, print and sell your own cards using this game system.
Print-n-play version of the game is also available for those of us with more time than money on our hands. If you don't have a penny to spare on a new game, you don't have to spend it.
The boxed set of the game, containing 236 cards and 144 tokens is now on crowd sale. The way that works is that everyone who buys the game between now and 18th of July gets it at the same price, and this price goes down retroactively as more people buy it.
