D&D 5E [GUIDE] My Word Is My Sword: The Paladin Guide

Correct, you either go Polearm or Shield Mastery. Great Weapon Mastery gets you a bonus action sometimes, when you crit or kill something. Bonus action attacks get the benefit of the LVL 11 feature that adds d8 radiant damage to attacks, so with PAM you get that d4 +d8 (radiant) + full ability...

D&D 5E Age of Worms Adventure Path

We have a group that is the Group Of Saves, with a Monk and a Paladin to boost saves and PC paranoia to take all precautions. It shouldn’t be too much of a hurdle. If a PC was in the chest and the Paladin is in range I would give them a boost.

A break check wouldn’t technically be damage, but you have to touch it unless they use a battering ram. Use help actions to give the attacker advantage to land a critical hit. Once you break it everyone is safe right? I don’t have module with me. I think the idea IIRC was if anyone got...

D&D 5E Age of Worms Adventure Path

I would treat the CON damage as exhaustion levels, 5e doesn’t support ability drain. If not, a long rest seems appropriate or a lesser restoration spell or both. In this case the monk will be fully exhausted if the dispel magic doesn’t work. As far as Dispel Magic, the spell affect seems like...

Sneak Peek At Ghosts of Saltmarsh Maps

Look up Mike Schley to buy his maps from the website, I am glad I did for PoTA.

Sneak Peek At Ghosts of Saltmarsh Maps

I love reading print books, I own several over 100+ years old. I don’t have a Gutenberg books, I can’t afford them. As as standards, the vast majority have the rose oriented towards the top of the page with that being north. If a map covers 2 pages and the book is meant to be turned to...

Sneak Peek At Ghosts of Saltmarsh Maps

You can also order the maps from Schley himself in some cases, they are worth it to increase size and have them separate from text.

Is using a familiar in combat to grant advantage a common tactic?

Your Wizard will have the highest intelligence in the group, so you should RP like it in most cases. A way to do that in combat is when you familiar goes and uses help action make sure you tell your team that, you are “directing” them to attack a certain individual. Help action isn’t an...

    My proposed rogue/wizard

I thought he was doing it for RP purposes no? An interesting take might be trickery Cleric then Wizard.... The SR recharge classes are fine with more encounters as long as you realize that you will not be able to nova in every encounter, some you just contribute to. Wizards get a deep spell...

    My proposed rogue/wizard

Every build here is premised on 2 encounters per SR. They fail unless played well over that. The BS is is an example of that, it’s a class that was created entirely around the 2 SR mechanic. That’s clear

    My proposed rogue/wizard

CHR use is the point of Swashbuckler, its not mathematically optimized but it is RP wise. If you use BB you cant use a bonus action to attack again, you have to use cunning action to disengage. The use of a bonus action to attack again is to get 2 chances to land a sneak attack. You have to...

    My proposed rogue/wizard

Swashbuckler is great fun. Allowing you to move away without taking OppAtt is a good thing, its the best feature of Swashbuckler IMO. Don't forget the level 3 function applies if you make an attack, it doesn't matter if the attack is any good. Even if you just punch at someone for no damage...
