The Heroes of the Lance are also low-level street heroes at this point too. The majority are nobodies all the way through the War. Laurana doesn't even become someone known to anyone until most of the way through the War and the only other Heroes of note at the end are Tanis and Raistlin...

I am curious who discovered this though. Was it the content creator or the company? I don't think it really matters much, but if the company caught it before she did AND still did this, that would be kind of cool.

They did all they really can do to fix the mistake at the moment and the creator herself has come out and said she looks forward to the second print run. It is a shame that my copy is going to miss the credit, but such is life.

It comes from two 3.5E Dragonlance Sourcebooks. The events occur in the Spectre of Sorrow adventure module and the history of Dragons is in the Dragons of Krynn sourcebook. These are officially licensed products available on Drive Thru RPG.

In Dragonlance, the Black Dragons were originally Lead Dragons before they were turned evil by Takhisis (Tiamat). In the current setting, a redeemed Black Dragon has reverted to being a Lead Dragon.

I think it is kinda funny seeing people arguing against the Bronze and Brass Dragons when, in 4E, WotC had replaced them in the MM with Adamantine and Iron Dragons. I swear, time is a flat circle.

Right, but the other setting materials during 3.5E were officially licensed, but published by Margaret Weis Productions. I absolutely agree. They would be making a mistake by not going back to the War of the Lance.

It made it into the RPG canon for sure. The 3.5E Dragonlance Campaign Setting (published by Wizards of the Coast) explicitly takes place after Paladine and Takhisis are mortal.

It certainly looks that way. Though having Paladine no longer being a god and Takhisis being dead allowed the other gods to shine a lot more. I am curious if/how they will undo the Paladine/Takhisis status.

Paladine (Fizban's true, godly form) turned himself and Takhisis into mortals (he had to do it to keep the balance, hers was as punishment). Paladine is now a mortal elf named Valthonis. Takhisis was turned human and promptly killed. Paladine's identity as Fizban has permanently ceased to be. He...

Right. But he isn't Fizban anymore, he is a mortal elf. Fizban no longer exists. Paladine, the Dragonlance version of Bahamut, is no more.
