I was tempted pre-show to look into the ruleset and now post-show I've started looking closer but the reviews I've checked out have been somewhat mixed on the ruleset. I'm curious what those here who have played it think about it.

For whatever reason I never purchased OAR #5 and it is now a glaring hole in what otherwise be the full collection*. *to date. OAR #8 didn't really pique my interest so I didn't pre-order that one.

That is an excellent point and highlights one of the best features of the Goodman Games OAR products, the enhancement and fleshing out of more details (setting, NPC, plot, extra encounters, etc.) of the original material.

That does bring up a good point. The OARs are fantastic tomes as overgeeked stated, but they hit those high page counts by including multiple versions of the original module. Great content from a historical and collector standpoint, not completely necessary for an adventure compilation like...

Great point! Pairing Lost Caverns with Forgotten Temple and strengthening the links/building out the region would have been a fun product to see. I always thought Ghost Tower of Inverness would be a fairly simple one to update and use as a tournament module again. And I think Into the Abyss...

Yeah, I hadn't realized OAR #1-6 had gone out of print. Shoot, GG just shipped out #7 The Dark Tower. Seeing these two titles included in Infinite Staircase probably explains at least somewhat why that particular licensing agreement came to end when it did and GG pivoted to non-WotC adventures...

Didn't realize there was already a thread going when I commented in another. I am very curious to compare WotC's conversions with Goodman Games' on The Lost City and Expedition to the Barrier Peaks.

Interesting. Both Expedition to the Barrier Peaks and The Lost City were covered by Goodman Games in the OAR series a few years ago. If I recall, the OAR series were adventures that Wizards had no intention of doing anything with (at least at that time). Now I'll be curious to do a side-by-side...
