I'm just glad the artist kept the work-in-progress plates - those caused it all to come crashing down with almost hilarious immediacy. I wonder if those are being required now as proof to help ensure that artists aren't using AI, or this guy was just being smart and kept them on his own initiative?

WotC has made enough bad calls (in the public's eyes) that we don't need folk stirring up fake sht against them, it'll just dilute the real actions.
"Oh sure the OGL, AI art, layoffs for investors, etc but a lot of that is just made up for clicks."
If one were a conspiracy theorist they'd think it was almost intentional, leverage a bunch of fake outrageous claims to make the actual claims seem not that big of a deal.

Right? It's not hard enough making a living as an artist, now you have to keep in-progress receipts. It's like being audited. We can't put the cat back in the bag, but man I am not a fan of what AI is doing to the industries I care about.

I just wish clickbaiters generally suffered some sort of real penalties for trash like this. Such fake "journalism" serves no useful purpose, except for the adzehats who produce it. The whole push toward nonsense sensationalism needs to stop.
