Spelljammer probably getting kicked up the ladder in terms of being redone.

There's nothing to problematic in it relative to modern sensibilities (cf Darksun) and theres not much deep law to it and it's fairly obscure.
Not that it's related to the thread, but did you miss the most recent Unearthed Arcana? Because it all but confirmed that D&D 5e is probably getting Spelljammer in the near future.

As for the main topic of the thread, I really wish that it had happened. I might not have watched the show if it had existed, but one can dream.

I stopped downloading UA a while ago. Care factor 0, don't have time to playtest it and they revise it anyway.

Okay. Just so you know, the most recent UA had Autognomes, Giff, Plasmoids, and Hadozee in it, which are all very notable Spelljammer races (it also had Thri-Kreen and Astral Elves, which could be Xixchil and the Elven Armada respectively, but are less clearly-linked with Spelljammer).

This IDR but I do recall about that same time there was also a Forgotten Realms TV show planned as well. I couldnt find the announcement if I tried, thats all that ever came of it was the announcement before vanishing into the ether. Kind of glad it never came to pass as I think it was live action so all I can picture is Kevin Sorbo as Elminster and Lucy Lawless as Drizzt.

Kewl explains the forum chatter about Giff.

BTW I own the original familiar with Xixchil and Hadozee.
